Folk who bought Joyce & Walky! subscription-only comics (available in the store), there are now more comics!  I have drawn some more and put them up on the final page.  If you've got 'em, refresh 'em!

I got the inspiration and drive to draw more J&W! strips shortly after committing to drawing this week's Shortpacked! storyline.  ...so, with Dumbing of Age, I've been doing three comic strips with three separate storylines every day all week, with competing versions of the same characters all over the place.  I don't know how my brain manages it.  There's got to be some leakage somewhere, I'm sure.

So this is prooobably not sustainable, but I thought you folks who bought the pages would appreciate the heads-up regardless.

Today was a good a day as any, I suppose, to address what some folks had been pestering me about for the past few months.  They wanted access to old Joyce & Walky! subscription-only months.  But I took down that access way back when because it felt wrong to accumulate subscriptions while the project was on hiatus.  That storyline has kind of burnt a hole in my brain and so I've avoided finishing off the last few strips.

But days and months have gone by and no progress, so I figgered, oh, fine, what the hell, I'll let folks buy old months again.  So those are up in the store.  You can get either the first half, the second half, or the complete(ish) series.  Maybe the influx of interest might jostle me into finishing it up.  Subscription numbers had so dwindled in the end that it felt like I was sorta sending them off into the void.  That's why I prefer the free comic strip model.  It's open to everyone, and so there's more of a tangible sense that folks are enjoying things.  The more feedback, the more of a sense of accountability there is.

Procrastinators like me need a sense of accountability.  With Shortpacked! reaching six years old today, I thank you folks for, unwittingly, keeping my balls to the fire.

Oh, hey, also I'm finally getting around to auctioning my BotCon 2010 bagged set!  It comes in a bag, and is bagged.  In the bag are five toys!  Even the toys are individually bagged.  There's a lot of baggage!

So if you want Pyro or Clench or Streetwise or Sky-Byte or Breakdown, you might want to check it out.  I was going to single out one of them as one you REALLY have to have, but that's basically all of them, because they're fantastic.  Well, maybe not Streetwise.  I mean, sure, he's Shaft, but he's not nearly as pretty as the others.

They are so pretty.

You should bid on them.

The official G.I.Joe Convention is this weekend in Providence, Rhode Island.  Check out their awesome at-show exclusives.  CHECK OUT THAT FRIGGIN' AWESOME RED SHADOWS CAR.  Is that an Indiana Jones mold?  Maybe?  That's genius.  It's genius and it's beautiful and I wish I thought I could get away with buying one without needing any Red Shadows.  And I really don't need any Red Shadows.

So, like, the old FTP is still kickin' me out and not letting me login, so here's last Saturday's Joyce and Walky!, presented as a blog post for you, easy-as-you-please.

I'm always overjoyed when folks tell me at conventions that they've been reading since Roomies! or It's Walky!.  Those characters are all still very dear to me, and I always enjoy revisiting them when you come to me and ask me to draw them.  I had a few long-time readers again at C2E2 last weekend, and I thank you for not forgetting them.
